Since trackingpaper recovery ratesbegan
back in the 1990s, paper recyclinghas
increaseddramatically.We’renot only
recoveringmore, butwenowknowhow
toget themost environmental and
economicbenefits fromusing recycled
paper innewproducts. Inaddition to the
sustainableadvantageof beingmade
froma renewable resource, paper and its
supportersare leading thewaywhen it
comes to implementationof effective
recyclingand theminimizationand
eventual eliminationof print andpaper
waste in landfills.
In2013, 50million tonsor 63.5%of
thepaper used in theUnitedStates
was recovered for recycling.
