I would like to personally thank Connie Davenport and Jan Oakes for their tireless hours preparing for our original Championships and to Michele Vaughn and Noah Rattner and their tireless hours in preparing for our new dates.  I would also like to thank the CDS JRYR Championship committee members and the work it took to prepare for one facility and set of dates and being able to move it efficiently to another.  A super special thank you to Beth Coffey- Curle and Paula Langan for the extra work this put on their “plates”. We are all excited to be able to participate in this year’s 2021 Northern JRYR Championships. This year we are taking eight horses and five kids, we are really excited about being able to take our 5th wheel trailers and camping there too.  This is our first time camping at a horse showgrounds, no driving, no hotels, it will be a really fun first time keeping everything together at Starr Vaughn! We are already talking about what to cook and prepare for meals in the trailers. All the riders, judges and horses are on their way back from Tokyo. We are all so proud of you!  GO USA-California Strong! Everyone is now preparing for our main CDS Championships and Region 7 Championships to be held at Rancho Murieta.  The closing date was August 30th.  Anyone interested in volunteering for Championships should contact Carol Tice [email protected] our volunteer coordinator. We have even more awards this year and are going to include some fun social get togethers.  Glenda and the team have a fun new awards photo op for 2021. I am really excited to have some young horses going to the Championships, fingers crossed we will have a 4, 5 and 6 year old attending!  I personally am very excited about this year’s new format for the futurity with the added materiale classes. We are not planning on camping at this prestigious event the way we are planning at Junior’s, so it looks like it will be hotel rooms again, but we are hopeful that meals out will be an option this year. I for one am so ready for as many fun social events if it is possible!
