APRIL 2021 V. 27, I 4 CALIFORNIA DRESSAGE SOCIETY CONTINUED ON PAGE 4 Reports from the Chapters in the CDS Southern Region Each year all the chapters are asked to report on their previous year’s activities in hopes that sharing their successes and innovative ideas will help other chapters offer rewarding activities and informative events. Here is what the Chapters in the South Region did for 2020.. PAULA LANGAN / CENTRAL OFFICE, MYLENE CHOW AND JANET SPARKS / POMONA, JOAN WILLIAMS / CDS PRESIDENT, CAROL TICE / TEMECULA, LYNDA PALMER / PALOS VERDES, SARA MOSQUEDA / INLAND COMMUNITIES, KRISTINE BUIST / LAS VEGAS, NANCY MICHALSKI / PALOS VERDES, SANDY HARPER / SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, ELLIE HARDESTY / SAN DIGEO, KAREN NOCKET / PALOS VERDES, PAT HART / POMONA I nland Communities Chapter Report 2020 Sara Mosqueda ~ Chapter Chair 2020 started fabulous for ICC as we held our year end 2019 banquet in January at HiHopes farms in Redlands. We lined tables down the barn aisles, pulled out our best linens and celebrated our members accomplishments from the year. We had a delicious catered dinner from a local Italian restaurant and our members loved the atmosphere being able to celebrate together. In the beginning of 2020 we also said goodbye to our longtime chair Kathy Young as she retired after 20 plus years of service to our chapter. Kathy put so many long hours and love into our chapter and we knew there were big shoes to fill. In February we were able to sponsor and send 4 juniors to the CDS Jr/Yr clinic with Stephanie Schauer which was held on home turf at Hi Hopes in Redlands. We also had two ICC members able to enter the clinic on the waitlist so we were well represented. ICC hosted a pizza party for the juniors on Friday night of the clinic which was well received. All of the juniors learned so much from Stephanie over the two days of riding. An amazing time was had by all and they made friends with juniors from other chapters that
